Here's another great example of using the iPad in the classroom from Karen Bosch at Southfield Christian Elementary School! This one combines Art and Literacy with Kindergarten students. Students used the free app Hello Crayons to draw a picture of something that began with a certain letter. The Hello Crayons app is a simple drawing app that is free - yet it has a lot of in-app purchasing options to increase colors and accessories. I have yet to test this one out - so if you have given it a try - let us know what you think! Hello Crayons App Click here to check out Karen's Blog post on this lesson!

Theresa GillespieI have been teaching Art for over 18 years in the Moline School District in Illinois. I have a BA degree in Art Education and a MEd degree in Education & Technology. I love Art and Technology - it's a great combination! I enjoy coming up with new projects and ideas for the students and I to get creative with. Personally I enjoy many different art mediums. Acrylic painting is perhaps my favorite, but I’ve never met a visual art form I didn’t enjoy. Archives
