Today is an exciting time to be an art teacher!
New technology makes teaching Art and learning Art a whole new experience.

Many teachers today are fortunate enough to have document cameras and projectors that help make demonstrations and lessons easier for all students in a class to see. This was a big step in the Art classroom. To add to the technology more and more classrooms are becoming equipped with Smartboards in addition to the projectors and doc cameras. The addition of Smartboards (interactive white boards) into the Art room allows the students to become more engaged with the technology themselves. They become an active participant in the creative learning.

iPads bring a whole other layer to that creative learning.
Students are very much actively participating in the learning. iPads provide a quick method of art production, manipulation, and exploration - all without the need for putting on a paint shirt! The possibilities for what knowledge can be found and artwork created using this wonderful tech tool is endless. New apps are constantly being created.

Use this website to explore how using iPads in the Art Room can be beneficial to your teaching, the students' learning, and both of your creativity!
