Help students bring art to life with animation.
iMotion HD
iMotion HD is an app for creating stop-motion and time-lapse movies. This free app is a must for the art room. Even if you have only one iPad it works great. And you can't beat the price!!

DoInk
This is an extremely creative app. It allows the artist to draw and animate. It is the best drawing animation app I've seen. The $4.99 price is worth all that it can do.
Take a look at what 3rd grade students from Dryden Elementary did with this app in the video below. Then learn more about the project by Tricia Fuglestad in the following blog post --> http://drydenart.weebly.com/1/post/2012/04/the-aliens-have-landed.html

Kid Animation
Kid Animation is another great animation app for students to use. This app is free - give it a try. The paid equivalent is called Animation Studio and is only $.99.
Another option for animation is to use a drawing or painting app like Brushes to draw each frame of the animation - then export those images into Keynote.
Brushes + Keynote
The animation below was done by Tricia Fuglestad, Art teacher from Arlington Heights, IL.
This animated poem was drawn using the Brushes App on an iPad and animated using Keynote on a MacBook. The audio was created using a midi keyboard feeding into garageband with my voice over.
